Diamond investment: what you need to know
Is diamond a good investment?
By nature,
in spite of its vocation to be offered as a gift -which by the way removes it for a very long time, often forever from the market, and increases its natural rarity-, the diamond is a durable, tangible good, possible investment.
It is a non-fugitive "currency",
easy to transport, benefiting from a clear and globally recognized classification system, which has a historically stable exchange value, and which is not subject to manipulation by a state: an apolitical currency.
The diamond, like the art object - painting, sculpture...
...does NOT have as a primary vocation to be an investment object where to place one's money, but it can be, as the results of the auctions of famous houses testify.
An investment in diamonds "with the objective that it will pay off later" (money), is a bet on the future, a hope to possess more or to lose less, for those we love.
One can also make the diamond worn
by those we love: in love the gift is unconditional, but the relationship unlimited!
Wearing a diamond
is a way of expressing your self-esteem, of investing in your self-confidence: when you wear your diamonds they give you a "free and princely" character, exceptional, remarkable and noticed.
The diamond can in addition become a good investment:
Investment likely to know a structural rise of the prices: most of the diamond mines are known and exploited today, the reserves are limited. Scarcity is increasing. As the gap between production and demand increases, it is possible that diamond prices will rise in the future.
Warning
We invite, in a general way for any investment, the savers to apply elementary rules of vigilance:
- no speech should make you forget that there is no capital gain without risk;
- obtain a minimum amount of information on the companies or intermediaries offering the product (corporate identity, country of establishment, civil liability, organizational rules, etc.);
- only invest in what you understand (and like!)
